Our Transparent City

I recently saw a great exhibit at Columbia College's Museum of Contemporary Photography—The Transparent City—a collection of architectonic photos from America-raised, Germany-born photographer and writer, Michael Wolf. The images—all taken in Chicago's central downtown area—give a voyeuristic vantage point of the city. Chicago seems colossal and compartmentalized, and emits a somber impression of urban anonymity. The exhibit only runs until Jan. 31 so if you haven't already seen it, see it. You might feel something.
